In the fall of 2019 we partnered with the Championship Project. We provided a program uniquely designed for high school students to introduce them to the world of multimedia and photography. Our introductory 5-week program, taught by industry professional, teaches students the fundamentals of photography and videography. Each student learned the basics of photography during the first 2-weeks of the program, which included an introduction to the use and parts of a DSLR camera. The following 2-weeks focused on teaching the students the basics of video production, which included shooting video footage, editing video and producing a 30–60 second video commercial.
The last week of the S.T.O.M.P. Program was dedicated to every student working on producing his or her individual portfolios. Each portfolio included a simple video commercial, portrait and landscape photography.
The Championship Project, founded by Danielle Pilgrim is an Atlanta-based initiative created to assist high schoolers in underserved urban cities reach their highest potential.
